Facebook Stats that Every Social Marketer Should Know

Facebook can give your marketing impressive reach, but the network is still relatively new and constantly evolving. How can marketers be sure they’re using Facebook strategically, not just “marketing at random”? Check out some of our favorite insights and stats from TrackMaven’s new report, The Marketing Maven’s Guide to Facebook.

Sales Renewal’s insight:

Most social marketers tend to post during the work week. Considering the vast majority of people work Monday through Friday, this is not surprising. However, according to a report by TrackMaven, although the number of posts decreases greatly on the weekends, the number of social interactions tends to increase quite dramatically on Saturdays and Sundays. This is attributed to the idea that people are more likely to sit down and take time to interact when they are not working, rather than when they are at work. This is not only the case on weekends. Posts also tend to see greater interaction after-hours, from 5pm to 1am.

So does this mean you should change your social post routine altogether? Maybe not. But it might be worth doing some testing to find out what works best for your business. Give it a try – schedule out some posts for this weekend and compare interactions. Be sure to let us know what you find!
